Responsibilities

Lead a team of subject matter experts to interpret and disseminate approved policy directives throughout the Command
Apply the DoD risk management framework to identify and mitigate risk to the Command’s mission, and assisting in cybersecurity functions
Responsible for identifying, evaluating, and reporting on legal and regulatory, IT, and cybersecurity risk to information assets, while supporting and advancing business, and mission objectives
Analyze current and future Federal and DoD cybersecurity and IT policies, directives, and instructions for applicability and implementation
Provides technical, functional, and analytical expertise to lead the development of the Command’s policies
Identify and evaluate legal and regulatory information technology, and cybersecurity risk
Lead and facilitate discussions throughout the Command to achieve a understanding to guarantee mission outcomes
Advise and conduct investigations related to cybersecurity related violations or incidents
Interpret and apply Federal, DoD, and Service regulations and policy, program directives, and guidance materials relevant to the Command’s cyberspace mission and operations

Required

Must pass urinalysis testing, as required, prior to appointment, reassignment, or transfer and periodically thereafter
The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET SCI clearance as a condition of employment and must complete a counterintelligence scope polygraph exam
One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement
The incumbent must meet NSA personnel security requirements outlined in NSA/CSS Policy 5-1
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social)
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe 1 years of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position
Specialized experience would be demonstrated by: Ensuring compliance with Information Technology plans, polices, or procedures; evaluating processes or procedures to monitor the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of an organization; supervising or leading a team of Information Technology professionals; providing technical advice on critical or controversial Information; and reviewing and advising on IT design strategies and project plans
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted
