Business Development Manager
Logixs Search is working with a well-established global freight forwarder that is expanding its U.S. sales organization. They are seeking a Business Development Manager focused on new business development for international air and ocean freight, responsible for prospecting and managing customer relationships.
Responsibilities
Prospect and bring on new customers for air and ocean freight forwarding
Sell import and export solutions including FCL, LCL, air freight, and customs brokerage
Build and manage your own pipeline of qualified opportunities
Work with pricing, operations, and overseas offices to support quotes and RFQs
Lead customer meetings, presentations, and contract discussions
Stay active in the market and aware of trade lane and rate changes
Keep CRM activity and sales reporting up to date
Qualification
Required
5+ years in freight forwarding or international logistics sales
Strong knowledge of U.S. import/export processes
Willingness to travel within your territory as needed
Comfortable using CRM tools and managing a pipeline
Solid background in international freight forwarding sales
Experience selling air and ocean freight (import and/or export)
Understanding of trade lanes, Incoterms, and forwarding pricing
Hunter mindset — comfortable cold calling, networking, and asking for the business
Able to work independently but collaborate with internal teams
Preferred
Existing customer relationships are a plus, but not required
