They are seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to manage the procurement and distribution of pharmaceutical products and general supplies, ensuring timely access to medications and goods while collaborating with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for purchasing and receiving pharmaceutical products and general supplies across Alfred Care Group

Support the Pharmacy Procurement Manager and broader Pharmaceutical Management team to ensure timely access to medications and goods, in accordance with formulary and contract guidelines

Communicate regularly with key stakeholders using near-real time purchasing data to troubleshoot purchasing related issues

Gain insight and understanding into strategic planning and practical considerations surrounding stock shortages in collaboration with the Drug Availability Working Group

Supervise procurement and inventory technicians together with the broader leadership group

Required

Have prior purchasing and/or stores experience in a health setting or be an experienced pharmacy technician with relevant experience purchasing pharmaceuticals

Be adaptable and be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team

Have excellent attention to detail and time management skills

Be able to problem solve and demonstrate the ability to take initiative and show leadership

Adopt a patient-centred approach to care
