Backend Developer

They are seeking a dynamic and motivated Talent Acquisition Specialist who will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring qualified candidates, primarily focusing on military veterans transitioning into civilian roles.

Information Technology & Services

Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans to attract veteran candidates and other qualified professionals
Source candidates through various channels including job boards, social media, veteran networks, and industry events
Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and evaluate candidate suitability for open positions
Coordinate with hiring managers to understand role requirements and provide guidance on candidate selection
Maintain a strong pipeline of potential candidates for current and future vacancies
Assist in the onboarding process to ensure a positive candidate experience and smooth integration into the organization
Build and nurture relationships with veteran organizations, educational institutions, and industry partners
Stay updated on industry trends, employment laws, and best practices to continuously improve recruitment strategies
Track and report on recruitment metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Proven experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or HR, preferably within the veteran employment space
Strong understanding of military skills and their translation to civilian job roles
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and candidate engagement
Knowledge of employment laws and best practices in recruitment and hiring
