12+Years--Business Analyst with Oil and Gas and Azure DevOps and Agile experience--Oklahoma City, OK--Contract Long-Term
OKAYA INFOCOM is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a long-term engagement within the upstream oil and gas sector. This role will work closely with cross-functional business and technical teams to drive requirements, support Agile delivery, and ensure successful execution of data and operational initiatives.
Responsibilities
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, document, and translate business requirements
Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews
Manage user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog prioritization using Azure DevOps
Support Agile delivery teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of project goals
Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze processes, identify gaps, and recommend solutions
Assist with reporting and insights, including Power BI dashboards when applicable
Support initiatives related to upstream oil and gas operations, including data, systems, and workflow improvements
Partner with engineering, operations, and data teams on SCADA-related projects (preferred)
Ensure clear, consistent communication across technical and non-technical audiences
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
5+ years of experience with Azure DevOps, including backlog and sprint management
5+ years of Agile/Scrum experience, including leading sprint activities
Upstream oil and gas industry experience (required)
Strong experience gathering requirements and working in fast-paced, iterative environments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work onsite in the OKC office Monday–Thursday
Preferred
Experience creating or supporting Power BI reports and dashboards
Experience working on or supporting SCADA projects
Strong understanding of operational data, field systems, and enterprise applications within oil & gas
