These individuals will contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality construction projects by ensuring compliance with project design and industry standards for mechanical systems.

Responsibilities
Monitor the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical and plumbing systems, confirming proper functionality and performance
Inspect mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, for compliance with contract requirements and industry standards
Review contractor shop drawings and submittals to confirm alignment with project specifications
Identify, document and report non-conformances, coordinating with contractors and engineers to implement corrective actions
Conduct labor interviews to verify proper worker classification and wage compliance
Immediately notify contractors and relevant officials of any potentially life-threatening safety conditions
Maintain detailed inspection reports, logs, and records for quality assurance and compliance tracking
Oversee corrective actions for unacceptable construction work and support final inspections, punch lists, and project closeouts
Witness and document critical tests, such as pressure tests, leak tests, and system start-ups
Verify the quality of materials, workmanship, and equipment installations to confirm adherence to project specifications
Qualification
Required
8+ years of total experience / flexible with certs and years of experience
Federal experience or university experience vertical/renovations
Ability to review mechanical and plumbing drawings and specs
Understanding of local code
Preferred
CQM-C
University experience/federal
Owners representative experience as a Mechanical & Plumbing inspector
Relevant Degree
Knowledge if PMI systems like Procore
