Customer Service Supervisor

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Customer Service Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of a customer service call center team. This role is responsible for managing patient account inquiries, billing questions, and payment resolution while ensuring exceptional customer experience and compliance with regulations.

Staffing & Recruiting

Responsibilities

Supervise daily call center operations, ensuring timely response to inbound calls, emails, and inquiries
Monitor call volumes, hold times, and service quality to maintain performance standards
Coach, mentor, and evaluate team members through feedback and performance reviews
Act as the first point of escalation for complex or sensitive account issues
Ensure accurate and compliant communication of billing, insurance, and payment information
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve account discrepancies and streamline workflows
Assist in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures and training materials
Prepare and analyze performance reports, call statistics, and productivity metrics
Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience
Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training new representatives
Stay current on policies, guidelines, and regulatory updates impacting financial communications

Required

High School diploma or equivalent required
Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and revenue cycle systems
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Call center management: 2 years (Required)
Healthcare Billing: 2 years (Required)
HIPAA: 2 years (Required)

Preferred

medical courses or college preferred
Experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations and supervisory roles preferred
