Retail Channel Strategy & Portfolio Manager-Home Improvement
American Bath Group is focused on enhancing the commercial performance of their product portfolio across major home improvement retailers. The Retail Channel Strategy & Portfolio Manager is responsible for analyzing retail assortments and developing data-driven recommendations to improve assortment productivity and profitability.
Responsibilities
Analyze retail assortments, SKU productivity, sales mix, margin contribution, and inventory performance
Lead product line reviews and assortment reset recommendations
Develop SKU rationalization proposals (additions, deletions, substitutions)
Build portfolio storytelling for merchant presentations
Partner with Sales on assortment negotiations and growth strategies
Translate portfolio strategy into merchandising programs and displays
Support planogram placement and reset execution
Evaluate merchandising effectiveness using sales and productivity metrics
Optimize digital shelf assortment and content quality
Ensure digital execution supports line review and assortment objectives
Analyze conversion and content health metrics
Build dashboards analyzing POS, inventory, and assortment productivity
Translate data into actionable recommendations for leadership
Qualification
Required
6+ years in channel strategy, sales operations, category management, or trade marketing
Direct experience with retail assortments and line reviews
Strong analytical skills (POS, inventory, GMROI)
Preferred
Experience with Home Depot, Lowe's, or Menards
