Responsibilities
Design and lead a disciplined capital allocation framework to balance growth investments, policyholder returns, and risk-adjusted performance
Establish hurdle rates, ROI metrics, and accountability measures for capital deployment decisions
Monitor and optimize capital structure to support liquidity, solvency, and long-term resilience
Align capital strategy with corporate objectives, market conditions, and stakeholder expectations
Build and lead M&A capabilities, including pipeline development, valuation, due diligence, integration planning, and post-transaction capital optimization
Partner with senior stakeholders to ensure strategic and financial alignment of potential acquisitions
Manage relationships with external advisors, including banks, consultants, and legal partners
Coordinate cross-functional teams (finance, legal, tax, operations, IT, HR, claims) throughout the transaction lifecycle
Maintain strong awareness of industry trends and competitive M&A activity
Oversee global treasury operations, including cash management, funding strategies, and financial risk mitigation
Develop and implement policies related to liquidity, foreign exchange exposure, and interest rate risk
Ensure treasury operations effectively support strategic initiatives and long-term financial health
Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team on capital deployment and financial strategy
Drive initiatives that enhance enterprise value through disciplined investment and portfolio optimization
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls related to capital and treasury activities
Report regularly to the Board on capital allocation performance and strategic investment outcomes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MBA or advanced degree preferred
10+ years of experience leading M&A transactions within insurance, banking, or financial services
Deep expertise in capital markets, corporate finance, M&A, and treasury operations
Proven ability to manage complex, high-value transactions
Exceptional analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills
Preferred
CPA, CFA, or CTP designation
Strong project management capabilities with the ability to identify risks early and drive execution
Demonstrated executive presence with the ability to influence and collaborate at the most senior levels
