Responsibilities

Supervise and lead a team of press operators, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure effective and efficient operations
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to enhance team performance and productivity
Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on production schedules and operational priorities
Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and continuous learning
Coordinate daily press operations, ensuring production schedules are adhered to with minimal downtime
Monitor the printing process to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with specifications
Collaborate with other departments, such as Quality Assurance and Maintenance, to resolve issues and improve processes
Adjust machine settings and troubleshoot equipment to maximize production efficiency and output
Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure printed materials meet company and customer standards
Conduct regular inspections and audits of the press line to identify defects or areas for improvement
Address quality issues promptly, implementing corrective actions and process improvements as necessary
Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for all team members
Conduct safety training sessions and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
Report any safety incidents or hazards to management and participate in incident investigations
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
Analyze production data and generate reports to track performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate with the production team to optimize workflow and resource allocation
Monitor and manage inventory levels of press materials and supplies, coordinating with procurement for timely replenishment
Ensure the proper handling and storage of press materials to prevent damage or wastage

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Knowledge of press line operations and equipment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges
Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement

Preferred

Additional education or certifications in manufacturing or supervision are advantageous
