Responsibilities
Identifies deficiencies in mechanical processes and develops improvements
Designs and develops prototypes
Analyzes and tests prototypes
Uses AutoCAD and Solidworks to design or modify parts
Assists in planning, coordination, follow up, and implementation of APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning) activities for assigned programs
Provides customer interface for assigned programs
Provides Program Engineering support
Participates in Continuous Improvement projects
Prepares documentation of critical analysis and providing suggestions for correcting errors
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualification
Required
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and testing various mechanical devices and robotics equipment
Identifies deficiencies in mechanical processes and develops improvements
Designs and develops prototypes
Analyzes and tests prototypes
Uses AutoCAD and Solidworks to design or modify parts
Assists in planning, coordination, follow up, and implementation of APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning) activities for assigned programs
Provides customer interface for assigned programs
Provides Program Engineering support
Participates in Continuous Improvement projects
Prepares documentation of critical analysis and providing suggestions for correcting errors
Strong blueprint reading skills
Ability to read a tape measure and other measurement tools
Intermediate math skills (ex. Algebra, trigonometry)
Advanced computer skills
Mechanical inclination
Organizational skills and attention to detail
Interpersonal and written communication skills
Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Persistence when faced with problems
At least two years' related experience required
1-2 years of AutoCAD and Solidworks design experience or equivalent software
Ability to work up to 8-10 hour shifts and overtime as required by the work
Use of all limbs, dexterous and steady use of hands and arms for long periods of time
Simultaneous mental and muscular coordination, visual and audio awareness of surrounding area
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or similar)
