Responsibilities
Analyze financial business processes to ensure compliance with applicable state statutes, federal financial regulations, and governing financial policies
Review organizational workflows to validate that approvals, internal controls, role assignments, and gating mechanisms meet regulatory requirements
Reconcile end-to-end financial business flows to confirm system configuration aligns with required compliance standards
Develop clear and detailed compliance documentation, including audit trails, traceability reports, control mappings, and exception workflows
Produce compliance and readiness reports for project leadership, oversight entities, and stakeholder groups
Collaborate with business, technical, and testing teams to identify and remediate compliance risks, gaps, or misalignments
Support validation efforts for an upcoming implementation phase, ensuring readiness across people, processes, technology, and data
Communicate compliance findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
Qualification
Required
Experience validating financial business processes for regulatory and statutory compliance
Ability to analyze and reconcile workflow designs related to approval chains, separation of duties, and compliance controls
Strong documentation and report-writing skills, including audit and traceability artifacts
Experience producing compliance-focused reports and maintaining traceability across requirements, controls, and workflows
Familiarity with ERP-based financial systems (PeopleSoft or similar platforms preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Public-sector or government compliance experience
Knowledge of ERP financial modules, particularly PeopleSoft or comparable systems
Background in internal controls, auditing, or financial regulatory analysis
