Responsibilities

Develop trainings, written materials, and other instructional tools for diverse audiences within the criminal and legal system, spanning from senior leadership to the general public
Collaborate with subject matter experts to simplify technical, information-dense materials into accessible, scalable resources
Serve as official program reviewer for documents and training products, reviewing for clarity, compliance, instructional soundness, and trauma-informed content
Ensure all materials meet Section 508 accessibility standards, including use of plain language
Editing program documents for client approval and online publication following designated style guides
Editing consultant documents and presentation materials for distribution to the client, as online NTTAC resources, and workshop participants
Drafting internal, client-facing, and external communication materials, including reports, email distribution, marketing materials, and newsletters
Manage document workflows and track deliverables across multiple projects
Collaborate with other members of the communications team and provide backup support for media and technology-based projects as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree
Minimum 5 years of proven experience as an Instructional Designer with learning products designed. Experience collaborating with others in the development of instructor-led training, online training, job aids, and performance support tools and knowledge of training program delivery
Minimum 5 years demonstrated, high-level technical writing and editing skills, and experience creating and managing multiple timelines and tasks in a fast-paced environment, and in collaboration with other teams to complete project deliverables
US citizenship required by federal government contract
This position requires a Public Trust security clearance. Applicants will be subject to a government security investigation to obtain clearance prior to the start date

Preferred

Master's degree
Experience with Section 508 compliance and document remediation
Experience with artificial intelligence-supported video production software
