Senior LevelW3Global is seeking an experienced Senior Snowflake Database Administrator to lead the administration, optimization, and governance of their Snowflake data platform. This role focuses on ensuring performance, security, and integrity of the data infrastructure to enable enterprise-wide analytics and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities
Analyze and optimize complex SQL queries and workloads for efficiency and cost control
Monitor and tune Snowflake virtual warehouses for peak performance
Implement best practices in data modeling, partitioning, clustering, and indexing
Manage user roles, access controls, and data masking policies to meet compliance requirements
Partner with InfoSec and compliance teams to enforce governance policies
Audit and monitor data access and usage for anomalies and security compliance
Maintain clean, organized schemas, tables, and views
Automate data purging, archiving, and metadata management
Ensure consistency and reliability of data pipelines and Snowflake integrations
Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams on data initiatives
Mentor junior DBAs and guide best practices
Stay up to date with Snowflake features, updates, and industry trends
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a Snowflake DBA or in a similar cloud-based data platform role
Strong SQL and performance tuning expertise
Deep understanding of Snowflake architecture (warehouses, storage, caching)
Experience with data security frameworks and compliance standards
Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools and data integration frameworks
Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
Preferred
SnowPro Certification (Core or Advanced)
Experience with automation tools such as dbt or Terraform
AWS cloud integration experience
Python or Shell scripting for administrative tasks
