LHH Recruitment Solutions is assisting a company in the northwest suburbs with a search for a staff accountant. This temporary to hire role offers variety in the accounting team as well as growth potential, involving month end close activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

Responsibilities

Month end close activities
Prepare journal entries and accruals
Reconcile accounts
Sales and use tax
Back up AP and AR
Discrepancy research and resolution
Data analysis for monthly reporting
Assist and support audits

Qualification

GAAP accountingMicrosoft ExcelAccounting experienceAnalytical skillsCommunication skillsTeamwork

Required

A minimum of 1 year of experience in an accountant role
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Comfortable with Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and look ups
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Excellent communication skills
Work well in a team environment
Knowledge of GAAP accounting
Must be very detailed and analytical
