Responsibilities
Assists the Quality Manager in providing direction and support to Quality Assurance team members
Coordinates quality activities with manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, and other departments
Supports implementation and maintenance of quality systems that meet QS9000/TS16949 standards
Monitors compliance and participates in audits and corrective actions
Maintains communication with customers and suppliers to address quality concerns and ensure requirements are met
Assists in resolving customer complaints and implementing preventive measures
Participates in quality planning and process improvement initiatives
Reviews inspection and testing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
Assists in managing testing laboratories and related documentation
Promotes and enforces safety standards within the department
Participates in workplace inspections and ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and ISO14001 policies
Assists in training quality team members on procedures, standards, and best practices
Provides coaching and support to enhance team skills and performance
Supports lean manufacturing techniques and efforts to improve product quality and process capability
Performs additional tasks as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals
Actively contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment, demonstrating flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs and priorities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
ASQ certification (or ability to receive certification within 12 months)
3+ years of experience in quality assurance or manufacturing environment
Knowledge of QS9000/TS16949 standards and quality systems
Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
Knowledge of safety standards and protocols in manufacturing environments
English proficiency required, with strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
