They are seeking an Urban Planner/Designer to develop graphics and layouts for planning projects, conduct research and data analysis, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to create sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities

Develops graphics and layouts for plans

Performs research and data analysis for planning projects

Develop renderings and design proposals for plans

Contribute and collaborate as a member of an interdisciplinary team of planners, landscape architects, and engineers

Attend meetings and public engagement events as needed, to include off-hours and out-of-area meetings as needed to support clients and projects

Assists in developing planning studies and reports

Required

A master's degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Public Administration, Geography/GIS, or a related field, with 2+ years of experience. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in any of these fields, with 4+ years of experience as a full-time planner

Knowledge of urban design programs such as SketchUp, Lumion, Rhino, Urban Footprint, or other design programs

Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and/or related programs

Ability to analyze data and create maps using ArcGIS Pro and/or ArcGIS Online

Oral communication and interpersonal skills to explain rules and procedures clearly to the public

Creative problem-solving skills

Ability to gather relevant information to solve practical problems

Ability to facilitate in-person and virtual public participation activities

Understanding of how to access, utilize, and analyze U.S. Census data
