The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking a Parks Golf Professional to manage an award-winning golf course at My Old Kentucky Home State Park. The role involves overseeing golf shop operations, managing staff and volunteers, and coordinating golf activities and events.

Responsibilities

Manage up to 8 employees as well as a volunteer program of 25-30 people

Manage a golf cart fleet up to 70 carts

Manage daily play, golf packages, all golf activities, training and supervising staff, managing the retail merchandising operation and inventory control

Manage vending services, tournament and group event coordination, providing instruction programs, and accounting for daily receipts from golf shop and golf car operations

Required

Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree

Two years of experience as an Assistant Golf Professional or Head Golf Professional

Must be 20 years and one day of age at time of employment

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license to qualify for employment in this job classification

Must be a member of PGA of America in good standing

Must obtain S.T.A.R. (Server Training in Alcohol Regulations) certification from the Kentucky Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control within six months of employment and maintain certification for the length of employment in this job classification

Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification
