Human Resources Manager
Alessi Bakeries Food Market is seeking a Human Resources Manager to support the full scope of HR responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. The role involves managing talent acquisition, overseeing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and other government regulations
Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations and civil rights complaints
Responds to and represents the company for any unemployment claims
Facilitates or provides training (including orientation) to the workforce
Administers benefit program and reconcile vendor invoices
Verifies and enters changes into the HRIS system in a timely manner
Verifies and processes the bi-weekly payroll for the company including generating payroll and timekeeping reports
Coordinates placement of temporary workers, building relationships, placing orders for temporaries, and maintaining records documenting orders, performance, and cancelations
Administers FMLA
Reports Worker’s Compensation claims and closely manages claims involving restrictions and lost time; and maintains OSHA logs
Administers drug screen/background checks
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement
Administers Performance Management process
Assists with special projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
5+ years' experience in Human Resources
Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies
Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees
Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
Attention to detail and good judgement
