International Logistics Lead

Responsibilities

Responsible for executing deliverables, both planning and operational, in Support of the logistics organization's business objectives
Strong engagement with Logistics Purchasing for contract amendments and awarded lanes
Support carrier(s) onboarding process, operational and planning with the freight forwarders and carrier(s)
For any operational disruption that is disclosed by the freight forwarder, individual must identify parties associated with risk, notify appropriate stakeholders and put in place risk mitigation plan, if required
Host monthly KPI calls with carriers and benchmark across all providers
Monitor, manage and engage with Finance on monthly budget activities, documenting risk and opportunities within the international budget
Provides support within the key areas of Logistics and Supply Chain organization to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas including customer, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product and financial initiatives
Communicates within the function as well as other functions, external/internal affiliates, regulatory agencies
Responsible for supporting relationship management with logistic suppliers, logistics service providers and carriers
Influences others within the organization to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches
Identify problems, update or modify work methods that may be complex in the work area without the benefit of defined procedures
Performing total-landed cost studies that will achieve Total Enterprise Cost (TEC) outcome to meet CC&A International savings metric
Promote GM's values and makes customer-focused decisions
Removing Roadblocks & Resolving Issues/Complaints: Observes and steps up to remove roadblocks and resolve potential issues
Assist with training employees/suppliers/logistics partners on applications and processes for smooth coordination of international shipments and visibility

Required

5+ years relevant post-graduate work experience in purchasing, supply chain, program/product management, manufacturing, logistics or product development
Must be willing to travel 10%

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, related field
