Responsibilities
Deliver Tier I/II technical support via phone, email, and ticketing systems, ensuring excellent customer service at all times
Proactively monitor network infrastructure and systems, responding quickly to alerts to minimize downtime
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with routers, switches, wireless access points, and security appliances
Manage and prioritize multiple incidents simultaneously while maintaining accurate and detailed documentation in ticketing systems
Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers or specialized teams when needed, keeping all stakeholders informed with clear updates
Participate in infrastructure upgrades, optimization efforts, and network performance improvements
Develop and maintain knowledge base articles, SOPs, and technical documentation for internal and team-wide use
Take part in an after-hours on-call rotation to support 24/7 network operations
Qualification
Required
4+ years of experience in a technical support or NOC environment
2+ years of hands-on experience troubleshooting LAN/WAN networks and network hardware (routers, switches, wireless devices)
Must have hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls
Strong knowledge of DNS, SMTP, SNMP, and network monitoring protocols
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical users
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred (equivalent experience will be considered)
Experience with VoIP or voice systems (PBX, PSTN, etc.) is a plus
Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ConnectWise) and IT documentation best practices
Preferred certifications: Cisco CCNA or equivalent, Fortinet NSE 3 or NSE 4, ITIL Foundations or similar service management certification
