New Grad, Entry LevelCure IT Solutions ltd is seeking an Information Technology Support Technician to assist with onsite transformation activities as per customer network team instructions. The role involves unpacking and installing devices, performing functional testing, and ensuring proper cable management during migration and cutover processes.

Responsibilities
Engineer needs to go onsite and perform transformation activities as per instructions from customer network team
Unpack the devices
Install any modules required
Install rack mount kit
Rack switch(es)
Install switch stack cables
Install switch power stack cables
Connect to the network
Power on devices
Verify power on checks (POST)
Ensure device can download patches
Label the devices with provided hostnames
Apply provided asset tags
Document
Provide screenshare for console access of new devices when required during staging and cutover
Disposal of Packaging on site as specified
Functional acceptance test-Check for all the devices if they are working properly
Perform proper cable management
Take pictures
Actual cutover from existing setup to the proposed setup
Move cables from as is state to the proposed state
Apply configuration changes to switches
Check for all the applications if they are working properly
Hands and Feet support for the devices if required
Qualification
Required
Ability to perform transformation activities as per instructions from customer network team
Ability to follow instructions like reboot devices, take pictures, check device state, etc
Experience with unpacking devices, installing modules, and rack mounting equipment
Experience with connecting devices to the network and performing power on checks (POST)
Ability to verify device functionality and ensure devices can download patches
Experience with labeling devices with provided hostnames and applying asset tags
Ability to document device type, serial number, asset tag, and hostname
Experience providing screenshare for console access of new devices during staging and cutover
Ability to perform functional acceptance tests to check if all devices are working properly
Experience with proper cable management and disposal of packaging on site
Ability to perform actual cutover from existing setup to proposed setup
Experience moving cables from as-is state to proposed state
Ability to apply configuration changes to switches and perform functional testing of applications
