Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking an Electronic Technician Supervisor for the Kentucky Department of Corrections. This role involves supervising technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic systems and devices, while also ensuring compliance with technical standards and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Supervises technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic component systems, electronic recording, monitoring or measuring devices and other electronic equipment and devices
Performs the duties of a technician particularly in the more difficult and technical areas
Supervises the evaluation of electronic equipment performance and final inspection and adjustment of installation and special systems
Maintains technical records and reports of maintenance and repairs
Interprets blueprints and technical drawings for technicians
Inspects work of staff

Electronic equipment maintenanceTechnical supervisionBlueprint interpretationTechnical record keepingCommunication skills

Required

High school graduate
Five years of technical experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic equipment
Technical training in electronics or a related field will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis
Additional technical experience will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis

Preferred

A high degree of adaptability and initiative
Responsive to rapidly changing work environment requiring complex decision-making skills
Superior communication skills with colleagues, employees, and supervisors
