Operations Accountant
Responsibilities
Coordinate the end-to-end lifecycle of loan-related fees (origination, servicing, amendment, payoff)
Ensure fees are posted accurately and timely in systems of record
Reconcile fee data across operational and accounting systems
Track fee exceptions, breaks, and corrections
Partner with Loan Servicing and Accounting to resolve discrepancies
Maintain fee logs, trackers, and supporting documentation
Support audit, risk, and compliance inquiries related to fees
Identify process gaps and recommend improvements
Manage small initiatives related to fee standardization and controls
Qualification
Required
2–5 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or loan servicing support
Experience managing or reconciling fees, charges, or financial transactions
Strong Excel skills (reconciliations, formulas, data tracking)
Understanding of commercial lending or financial services operations
Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Ability to coordinate across multiple teams
Preferred
Exposure to commercial loan servicing or syndications
Experience working in a regulated financial environment
Light project management experience (tracking deliverables, timelines)
