Responsibilities
Applies intermediate knowledge of data visualization tools, databases, and data science related programming languages
Comfortable creating usable data machine learning, predictive modeling, and advanced analytics tools tailored to solve business problems
Designs moderately complex data solutions
Builds reputation for creatively solving routine problems with strong analytical skills within team and proposes solutions to new problems as they arise
Developing knowledge of nCino’s objectives as they relate to data science while gaining an understanding of nCino’s products, services, and customers
Leverage AI tools and techniques to enhance software development activities, including code generation, testing, debugging, and optimization
Apply AI insights to identify patterns, automate repetitive tasks, and improve overall development efficiency and product quality
Evaluate and integrate AI/ML capabilities where appropriate to strengthen product functionality and user experience
Maintain awareness of emerging AI trends and best practices to inform continuous learning and innovation
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field with 2+ years of related experience or combination of experience and education
Proven experience in one or more programming languages commonly used in data science, such as Python or R and SQL
Basic understanding of the business domain
Experience with advanced data manipulation, cleaning, and transformation techniques
Experience developing machine learning models
Expertise in data visualization and storytelling with data
Experience with data visualization tools (DOMO, AWS Quicksight, Tableau, etc.)
Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques
Experience with SQL or noSQL and database management systems
Flexibility and the ability to be productive in a fast-paced, team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred
Experience developing and deploying models using Databricks and mlflow
Experience with AWS tools and services, including Lambda, Sagemaker, S3, Athena, Quicksight
Experience with production code practices (unit testing, OOP, error handling, logging, contract testing, version control, etc.)
Experience with software development
