Responsibilities
Initiate and manage the accounts payable approval workflow
Set up, maintain, and electronically file vendor records, onboarding packets, and contracts
Review incoming mail and scan invoices into the AP approval system
Perform 2-way and 3-way matching of vendor invoices
Batch ACH payments for CFO approval and process check payments
Enter payments accurately and ensure timely disbursement
Match AE charges with appropriate vendor documentation
Enter vendor bill records related to fixed asset purchases made via credit card
Assist with monthly close activities and annual audit preparation
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Collaborate with other accounting team members as needed
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent relevant work experience
5–10+ years of Accounts Payable experience in a public company or similarly sized organization
Experience managing high-volume vendor environments (thousands of vendors)
Working knowledge of GAAP principles
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills
Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and ERP/Accounting systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate
Preferred
Proven experience in a high-volume, structured AP environment
Comfortable asking questions, escalating issues, and seeking clarity when needed
Quick learner who adapts easily to systems, processes, and controls
Proactive problem solver with strong attention to detail
Reliable individual contributor who takes ownership of work and deadlines
