Electrified Aircraft Propulsion Controls Engineer
HX5, LLC is an award-winning provider of engineering, research and development, and technical services to clients such as NASA and the Department of Defense. They are currently seeking a mid-level aerospace engineer to support the controls development, modeling, and simulation of propulsion technologies for electrified aircraft propulsion systems at NASA Glenn Research Center.

Responsibilities
Develop advanced control methodologies for EAP applications
Support hardware-in-the-loop testing and evaluation of advanced control algorithms
Support data processing and perform trade studies of EAP applications
Qualification
Required
Proficient in Matlab and Simulink
Experience or knowledge of aerospace propulsion systems
Experience or knowledge of advanced control methods
Experience in classical control methods
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly motivated and able to work independently
Committed to successful collaboration with the NASA team and partners
Completed at least a bachelor of science degree in a STEM-related major, from an accredited program
Bachelor's degree with 5 to 10 years of experience
Master's degree with 3 to 6 years of experience
Ph.D. with 0 to 3 years of experience
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation
Preferred
Experience in system-level dynamic modeling
Experience in modeling and simulation of EAP systems
Experience in controls development for EAP systems
Experience working with NASA
Experience working on NASA projects
