Responsibilities

Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using Java, SpringBoot, Microservices, and React Micro frontends
Design and implement cloud-based applications on AWS, specifically utilizing AWS ECS
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment using DevOps practices
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
Collaborate with designers, product owners, and back-end engineers to create user-friendly, visually appealing, and performance-optimized interfaces
Apply CI/CD and DevOps best practices to streamline build, test, and deployment processes
Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility
Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
Add to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
Proven expertise in Java, SpringBoot, Microservices, React Micro frontends, AWS ECS, and DevOps
Strong experience with database technologies including AWS RDS, Oracle, and Aurora PostgreSQL
Hands-on data engineering experience with AWS Glue, Spring Batch for ETL pipelines, and PySpark
Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, including tools like Jenkins and Spinnaker
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with individuals across the globe
Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams and managing projects
Experience collaborating in Agile/Scrum development environments

Preferred

Experience in working with diverse teams and contributing to an inclusive work environment
Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices
Knowledge of banking operations and data
Understanding of AI principles with practical experience in incorporating AI-driven solutions into user interfaces
Ability to understand agentic frameworks including prompting, workflows, tools along with experience with Python
Experience gathering requirements for projects and crafting/refining user stories
Positive attitude and enthusiasm for working in a multicultural environment along with open-mindedness and adaptability to different perspectives and ideas
