Senior Manager Engineering Operations
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Manager, Engineering Operations and Governance to establish and manage engineering processes within the North America Hardware Engineering organization. This role focuses on operational excellence, overseeing global hardware development tools, and leading teams to ensure effective engineering workflows and process adherence.

Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and govern engineering processes for North America Hardware Engineering, ensuring consistency across NPI, Sustaining, and Continuous Improvement workflows
Establish operational metrics, dashboards, reporting tools, and review forums to monitor execution, throughput, and quality
Lead process training across engineering teams to ensure adoption and compliance
Drive process improvements, identify gaps, and implement best practices for efficiency and predictability
Own global hardware development tools, including PDM/PLM platforms, CAD systems, and supporting IT infrastructure
Oversee tool lifecycle management: evaluation, introduction, rollout, training, and long-term support strategies
Manage the ECO team for accurate creation, review, and implementation of engineering changes
Lead the Order Entry Configurator (CPQ) team to maintain rules and logic for accurate BOM generation
Ensure alignment between ECO workflows, CPQ logic, product platform rules, and manufacturing requirements
Collaborate with Product Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Program Management to align processes and tools with business objectives
Manage, mentor, and develop staff across multiple countries, ensuring strong communication and engagement
Define governance structures and operate review boards (e.g., Change Control Boards, Configuration Reviews, Tooling Steering Committees)
Provide operational insights, process analytics, and tool recommendations to hardware engineering leadership
Demonstrate leadership qualities: decision-making, accountability, strategic thinking, and influence across global functions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline required
10+ years of experience in engineering operations, management, program management, or process governance
Expertise in defining and deploying engineering processes across NPI, Sustaining, and Continuous Improvement environments
Strong knowledge of PDM/PLM systems, CAD platforms, and hardware development toolchains
Direct experience managing ECO processes, configuration management, or CPQ systems for BOM generation
Proven leadership experience managing teams across multiple countries
Excellent analytical skills with ability to design dashboards, define KPIs, and interpret operational data
Strong communication skills for training, coaching, and influencing engineering teams
Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and organizational alignment
Preferred
Master's degree or MBA
Experience in hardware product development environments
Experience with cross-domain systems: mechanical, power electronics, embedded firmware
Familiarity with 3D Experience, Windchill, or equivalent PDM/PLM systems
Knowledge of SolidWorks, Creo, Altium, or comparable CAD/ECAD platforms
Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
Experience with global engineering organizations and multi-region product platforms
Knowledge of manufacturing workflows, BOM structures, and configuration management
Background in NPI governance, engineering programs, or quality systems
