Responsibilities

Architect the foundational identity for ad experiences across YouTube’s core surfaces from the fluid consumption of Shorts to the leaned-back discovery of the YouTube Main App ensuring each surface plays to its unique superpowers but connects fluidly through a shared design language
Architect our horizontal ad strategy by identifying high-impact opportunities and developing a cohesive goal that harmonizes brand stories across YouTube surfaces
Push the boundaries of technology and creativity by challenging established thinking and architecting modern approaches that allow brands to tell their stories with authenticity and impact
Bring complex architectural goals to life through high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes, using inspirational storytelling to align stakeholders and drive outcomes
Elevate the visual quality of new and existing features with a critical eye for aesthetics and UI craft

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
8 years of experience in product design or UX
Experience implementing visual design systems across a range of platforms
Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions)

Preferred

Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
12 years of experience in product design or UX
5 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization
4 years of experience leading design projects
3 years of experience working with executive leaders
