Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines using Spark and Databricks

Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using Python and Java

Orchestrate and schedule data workflows using Apache Airflow

Process and transform large-scale structured and unstructured datasets

Optimize data performance, reliability, and quality across pipelines

Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to support analytics and ML use cases

Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline failures and performance bottlenecks

Implement best practices for data governance, security, and documentation

Required

Strong experience in Data Engineering

Hands-on expertise with Apache Spark

Experience working with Databricks

Proficiency in Python and Java

Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration

Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and distributed systems

Experience working with large datasets and batch/streaming data pipelines

Preferred

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts

Familiarity with Delta Lake, Hive, or similar data technologies

Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data platforms

Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.)

Exposure to data governance and data quality frameworks

Experience supporting machine learning or advanced analytics workloads
