Process Engineer
Helion is seeking an entry-level Process Engineer to join their team during a new plant start-up. The role involves hands-on work and analytical tasks, supporting the development of Standard Operating Procedures, commissioning new equipment, and establishing reliable processes for efficient production.
Responsibilities
Support plant start-up activities, including equipment commissioning and process validation
Develop, document, and implement SOPs for new and existing processes
Collect and analyze production data to troubleshoot issues and improve efficiency
Work with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance
Participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement projects
Monitor process controls and recommend adjustments to ensure product quality
Provide hands-on support on the production floor during testing, ramp-up, and training
Assist in ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related discipline)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Willingness to work 50/50 between office and shop floor
Interest in process development, equipment commissioning, and continuous improvement
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Hands-on mindset and desire to learn in a fast-paced start-up environment
