3+ years expPTR Global is a leading provider of information technology and workforce solutions. They are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join their Wealth Management Product Technology team, focusing on developing and enhancing applications for the Private Banking Group.
Responsibilities
Hands-on development using Java and related technologies
Design and develop Java applications and scalable solutions based on Microservices architecture
Collaborate as part of a banking Agile Squad
Lead IT deliverables and communicate effectively with stakeholders
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint grooming, planning discussions, and daily stand-ups
Qualification
Required
3-5+ years of hands-on experience in core Java 1.8 or higher and related technologies
Proficiency in Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Security
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and design principles
Experience with Java EE, Web Services (REST, SOAP, MQ, Tomcat)
Expertise in database design, development, SQL, PL/SQL, and tuning (preferably DB2)
Experience in developing user interfaces using Angular
Understanding of large enterprise application requirements (security, entitlements, etc.)
Knowledge of design patterns and ability to apply them effectively
Strong communication skills and ability to work across regions and time zones
Experience in Agile development methodologies
Minimum BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Preferred
Working knowledge of Unix/Linux and scripting languages
Familiarity with financial markets, lending-based products, and wealth management
Exposure to JIRA or other ALM tools for a productive development environment
