Compliance Specialist
Responsibilities
Review enterprise risk assessments, policies, and procedures to understand existing risks and controls
Translate complex operational processes into clear, structured risk and control language aligned with methodology
Identify and document evidence requirements for each control, including source systems and retention expectations
Facilitate working sessions with process owners to ensure accurate risk, control, and evidence details
Develop and maintain detailed project plans for risk documentation, control documentation, and walkthroughs
Track progress against timelines and milestones, escalating issues as needed
Monitor documentation quality and flag inconsistencies or gaps for review
Prepare periodic progress updates for leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance (or equivalent experience)
5+ years in risk management, internal audit, compliance, or related fields
Experience with GRC or risk-management systems (AuditBoard preferred)
Strong knowledge of operational and regulatory risks and controls
Excellent organizational, analytical, and client service skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond quickly to emerging issues
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative
