Senior Financial Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst will support the F-35 Program Office by providing detailed financial analysis, budget execution support, and insights across program activities to ensure effective stewardship of government funds.
Responsibilities
Perform financial analyses in support of F-35 program execution, planning, and acquisition decision-making
Analyze obligations, expenditures, and commitments across multiple appropriations and funding lines
Provide recommendations to leadership based on financial trends, risks, and execution performance
Support Program Financial Managers (PFMs) and leadership with data-driven insights for briefs and reviews
Support development and execution of program budgets across the FYDP
Assist with POM, BES, and budget build activities in accordance with DoD PPBE processes
Monitor execution against approved funding and identify potential execution risks or shortfalls
Support reprogramming actions, funding realignments, and spend plan updates as required
Prepare financial reports, charts, and dashboards for internal leadership, OSD, and Congressional reporting
Support preparation of briefing materials for Program Management Reviews (PMRs), Defense Acquisition Boards (DABs), and senior leader engagements
Ensure financial data is accurate, auditable, and aligned with authoritative systems of record
Coordinate with program management, contracts, engineering, logistics, and cost estimating teams to align financial data with program activities
Support contractor financial reviews, including analysis of cost performance reports and invoices
Translate technical and programmatic activities into clear financial impacts for leadership
Ensure compliance with DoD financial management regulations, policies, and guidance
Support audit readiness by maintaining documentation, data traceability, and reconciliation processes
Assist in maintaining financial data integrity across multiple government financial systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
4–6 years of experience in DoD financial management, program analysis, or acquisition support
Working knowledge of PPBE processes, appropriations law, and budget execution principles
Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Experience supporting Major Defense Acquisition Programs (MDAPs) preferred
Familiarity with government financial systems such as DEAMS, ABIDES, WAWF, or similar tools is a plus
