Internship - AgriRoots/YBS Lending
Capital Farm Credit is the largest rural lending cooperative in Texas, dedicated to supporting rural communities and agriculture. They are seeking an intern to assist in the daily administrative and event planning operations of the AgriRoots department, while gaining exposure to various agricultural operations and enhancing their knowledge of the industry.

Responsibilities
Participate in the daily administrative and event planning operations of the AgriRoots department to support young, beginning, and small producers
Assist in the facilitation of education and outreach events through the Association
Engage in comprehensive tours of various agricultural operations, visit other Capital Farm Credit offices, and shadow professionals across different roles within the organization
Develop working knowledge of systems
Attend CFC functions and visit borrower operations
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma and enrollment at an accredited university (at the time of the internship) pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Ag Business, Ag Economics, or a related field supporting a career in Agricultural Finance
Maintain a minimum 2.5 overall GPA
Enrollment as a junior, senior, or graduate student at the time of the internship, with a preference for candidates completing their degree studies in the fall of 2026 or spring of 2027
Submission of an online application and resume
Interns are required to attend three important sessions held at our headquarters in College Station: orientation (May 27–29), a mid-session event (tentatively scheduled for June 24), and the closing session (August 6)
Interns must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the internship location, with reliable personal transportation for their daily commute to work
Preferred
Previous work experience in the agricultural, event planning and/or financial industry is helpful but not required
Ability to take initiative
Ability to take on multiple administrative tasks
Strong communication skills
Evidence of leadership skills
Should be team oriented, cooperative, and show a strong work ethic
