Finance Coordinator
Baruch College is committed to student success and is seeking a Finance Coordinator to support the Student Services Accounting Unit. The role involves ensuring efficient operations, preparing financial statements, assisting with budget management, and maintaining accounting practices.

Responsibilities
Ensures efficient and effective operation of the Student Services Accounting Unit
Assists in creating various annual and quarterly reports for the boards of directors of the Baruch M. Baruch Association, the Auxiliary Enterprises Corporation, and the Baruch College Early Learning Center
Provide guidance to directors and student leaders in affiliated entities in developing, monitoring and reporting annual budgets and provides data and reports relating to numerous financial inquiries
Assists in preparing financial statements for the Affiliated Entities and works closely with the external auditors and internal auditors on the annual financial statement audits
Provides information for form 990 reporting
Assist with managing the fiscal year-end closing process for all affiliated entities
Works with property manager to reconcile capital assets per college records to CUNYfirst Asset Management
Assists the payroll process for all affiliated entities and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Assist with managing business analyses, budget allocations, financial reporting, and various statistical reports
Establishes and maintains accounting practices, in accordance with GAAP and University policies and procedures. Provides technical assistance on the appropriate use of funds and the methodology for accessing accounts
Perform various financial reconciliations to meet the CUNY year-end deadlines
Develop and manage relationships on fiduciary responsibilities with external institutions, including government agencies, banks, and insurance companies
Establishes internal procedures to maintain documents record retention
