Responsibilities
Manage supplier qualifications to ensure consistent compliance with engineering drawings and specifications
Regional supplier quality ownership (North America – USA)
Own product and manufacturing process qualifications and ensure timely closures
Lead new supplier evaluations and onboarding, including quality and compliance audits
Conduct supplier surveillance audits to verify effective process controls and quality systems
Support serial production readiness and product release aligned with project and customer requirements
Organize and perform supplier inspections to ensure product quality compliance
Support customer witness inspections such as Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Customer Observation Points (COP)
Witness testing at independent third-party laboratories
Own Supplier Responsibility / Governance metrics and conduct audits per audit plans
Collect and analyze Critical to Quality (CTQ) data and perform process capability analysis
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce recurring quality issues
Manage supplier non-conformances (NCRs), service notices, deviation requests, warranty claims, and recoveries
Perform robust Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions
Serve as the technical quality interface between suppliers and internal engineering, sourcing, and manufacturing teams
Ensure adherence to quality procedures, specifications, and standards
Provide sourcing quality input during product design reviews
Support supplier development and identification of new suppliers as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or related technical discipline)
8–12 years of hands-on industry experience in electrical/electronics engineering, quality, or manufacturing
Minimum 3 years of experience in Supplier Quality or Supply Chain
Experience with electrical and electronic components such as PCBAs, wire harnesses, cables, control cabinets, sensors, switches, transformers, and instrumentation products
Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and international standards
Experience reviewing PCBA quality and tracing wiring schematics and logic circuits
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 50%)
Preferred
Advanced degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
Experience in instrumentation or power generation industries
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification (or equivalent experience)
Knowledge of international standards (IEC, IEEE, ISO, ANSI, NEMA)
Familiarity with nuclear industry standards (e.g., N299.2, N299.3)
ISO Lead Auditor certification or equivalent
Formal Root Cause Analysis certification (8D, Kepner-Tregoe, Apollo, etc.)
Field experience supporting or maintaining electrical equipment
Strong ownership mindset, self-motivation, and influencing skills
