Responsibilities
5+ years of experience as a Technical designer in pattern making or adjusting patterns, can start from scratch or adjust existing patterns for women’s athletic wear
The nature of the work is focused on research and development of products from conception to retail to meet the needs of accounts and consumers
Collaborates with Marketing/Design to interpret design concept into 2-dimensional patterns
Consults with product triad to clarify concepts and lend pattern-making and fit technical expertise
Creates first models from concept pictures
Incorporates styling and fit changes determined by design/marketing/development during fit sessions or design process
Inspects and critiques samples
Creates and/or revises product specifications with construction details for production
Ensures specifications detail construction methods that optimizes profitability
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience as a Technical designer in pattern making or adjusting patterns
Ability to start from scratch or adjust existing patterns for women's athletic wear
Experience focused on research and development of products from conception to retail
Ability to collaborate with Marketing/Design to interpret design concept into 2-dimensional patterns
Consultation with product triad to clarify concepts and lend pattern-making and fit technical expertise
Ability to create first models from concept pictures
