Responsibilities
Lead a portfolio of complex technology initiatives and guide a team of experienced engineers building distributed, cloud-native back-end systems
Design and deliver scalable microservices and platform capabilities that meet enterprise, regulatory, and reliability requirements
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering leaders to deliver impactful cloud-based solutions
Mentor engineers, contribute to technical direction, and promote engineering excellence across the organization
Stay current with emerging technologies, experiment with new tools and frameworks, and engage with internal and external engineering communities
Review, evaluate, and occasionally write production-quality code
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
6+ years of professional software engineering experience (excluding internships)
1+ year of experience working with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Preferred
Master's degree
9+ years of experience in one or more back-end programming languages (Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Go)
4+ years of experience building solutions on AWS or Azure
4+ years of experience with open-source frameworks
1+ year of people leadership or team management experience
2+ years of experience working in Agile development environments
