Responsibilities
Assist individuals before and after release from incarceration in sealing and expunging their criminal records
Advise clients on their legal rights related to CORI in the context of job applications, job interviews, and occupational licensing
Assist with CORI clinics
Have significant client contact and work closely with community partners in person or by zoom and other means
Represent clients in court in criminal record sealing and expungement matters
Qualification
Required
Massachusetts bar admission
Previous legal experience assisting clients with criminal record sealing matters
4 to 9 years of experience
Preferred
Previous experience with low-income formerly incarcerated individuals
Experience with communities of color
Experience with community re-entry and work training programs
Experience delivering community legal education presentations on CORI
Fluency in one or more languages spoken by GBLS clients
