They are seeking a Billing Specialist who will be responsible for preparing and delivering contract billings and managing the billing process using an ERP system.

Responsibilities
Utilize ERP system to manage billing process
Produce customer billings for time and material projects, cost plus a fee projects, and lump sum projects
Develop billing formats that meet customer requirements
Assist Project Managers in job setups
Interpret billing impacts based on review of customer contracts
Interpret collective bargaining agreement requirements that impact billings and communicate with business agents to acquire data
Import and data entry into customer billing systems
Customer interface
Explain billings and ensure they are set up in acceptable format to meet customer needs
Meet with customers as needed to review billings and procedures
Develop documentation for processes and procedures
Crosstrain with related positions to provide backup, as necessary
Effective communication skills to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and Lakehead employees
Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
1-3 years of related experience and/or training in accounting in a construction billing environment
Accounting certificate or an associate's degree in accounting/business
Computer literate with the ability to become proficient with any software deemed necessary to perform job duties as determined by the company
Fundamental knowledge of the following office productivity software: MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, Viewpoint, Bluebeam
Ability to work well with all levels of employees and management
Accurate typing skills
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Possess great customer service and communication skills
Ability to work accurately and efficiently
Excellent organizational skills
Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Able to meet critical deadlines and accommodate extended work hours, as required
Able to work with and cultivate the team to improve work processes
