Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of contested litigation matters on behalf of mortgage lenders, servicers, and investors
Attend court proceedings and present arguments for both routine and contested foreclosure actions, title issues, HOA/COA disputes, and other real estate‑related cases
Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case status, strategy, and outcomes
Review and analyze loan documents, title reports, and supporting materials
Draft motions, pleadings, and written discovery; prepare responses and conduct legal research as needed
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor degree and active Illinois law license in good standing
1–3 years of litigation experience, ideally involving mortgage foreclosure, creditor rights, or real estate disputes
Strong understanding of the Illinois Mortgage Foreclosure process
Familiarity with the Illinois Code of Civil Procedure and Illinois Supreme Court Rules
Strong written advocacy skills and clear oral communication
Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Comfortable working independently or within a team environment
Professionalism and sound judgment in interactions with clients and colleagues
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels
