Inventory Planner, Amazon Prime Air
Amazon is a leading technology and logistics company, and they are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Planner to join their Supply Chain team. The successful candidate will manage inventory levels, forecast demand, and optimize stock across the Prime Air fulfillment network to ensure seamless logistics operations for their innovative drone delivery system.

Responsibilities
Analyze inventory levels and develop strategies to optimize stock positions across multiple fulfillment nodes
Design and implement inventory distribution strategies that minimize transportation costs while maximizing service levels
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including in-stock rates, inventory turns, carrying costs, and logistics efficiency metrics
Collaborate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to ensure proper inventory flow and transportation optimization
Identify and resolve supply chain bottlenecks, including transportation constraints, warehouse capacity issues, and last-mile delivery challenges
Develop contingency plans for logistics disruptions and implement risk mitigation strategies
Optimize warehouse layouts and material handling processes to support efficient drone operations
Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, including freight consolidation and route optimization
Analyze transportation modes and costs to recommend optimal shipping methods
Generate regular reports and presentations on inventory performance, logistics costs, and supply chain efficiency
Participate in supply planning meetings and coordinate with cross-functional teams including operations, procurement, and transportation
Support new site launches by developing inventory positioning strategies and logistics infrastructure requirements
Qualification
Required
3+ years of program or project management experience
3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
2+ years of supply chain experience
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred
3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
3+ years of driving process improvements experience
Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
