Engineering Support Section Manager

Responsibilities

Oversee and direct engineering support activities for assigned products within SCD, providing technical guidance and mentorship to staff
Lead planning and execution of assigned projects and initiatives to enhance service capabilities
Monitor field incidents, set priorities, and manage issue escalation within SCD and product divisions as needed
Oversee the review of technical support documentation for new product introductions
Collaborate with equipment division Engineering and QA teams to resolve technical issues and manage open items to completion
Review incident history to identify systemic issues and work with internal teams to implement improvements
Review and disseminate engineering change notices (ECNs) to technical support staff as required
Assist in creating and refining processes related to product support activities
Manage staff performance, provide coaching and training, conduct performance reviews, and support career growth in alignment with company policies
Represent SCD positively through effective communication and collaboration with customers, vendors, and internal departments

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Minimum of 7 years of experience with electrical or power quality-related products
At least 3 years of managerial experience, or equivalent education and experience
Advanced knowledge of electrical power and control systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Advanced interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
Proven leadership and team development capabilities
Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office and engineering software
