8+ years expHixen Search Group is seeking a Controller for a long-term client in the Construction industry. The Controller will report to the VP of Operations and company President, and will play a key role in the leadership team while having the opportunity to grow into the CFO role.
Staffing & Recruiting
Responsibilities
Complete month-end close work including journal entries and reconciliations
Preparation of monthly financial reports for leadership
Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting for the company as needed
Assist with other accounting tasks as needed
Work closely with the business as their financial liaison
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
8+ years accounting experience in construction or small operations businesses
Strong core accounting skills are a must and a solid understanding of GAAP
Some experience leading a team
A desire to work in a team and results oriented environment
Preferred
Experience with working in an ERP and any ERP transition experience is a big plus
