IT Resources is seeking a SQL Database Administrator who is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise database environments. This role involves working closely with development and infrastructure teams to support reporting, data integration, and business-critical systems, primarily within a SQL Server–based technology stack.

Responsibilities

Maintain SQL Server databases across development, testing, and production environments to meet uptime and performance targets
Develop and maintain SQL scripts and queries to support data extraction, transformation, and loading processes
Administer and support SQL Server Reporting Services, including report creation and integrations
Monitor database performance and implement tuning, automation, and optimization strategies
Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans
Maintain and support a hosted MongoDB database environment
Develop automation scripts to streamline routine DBA tasks
Implement monitoring and alerting to proactively identify and resolve issues
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and support efficient database solutions

Required

Strong experience supporting SQL Server databases in production environments
Solid understanding of SQL Server isolation levels, normalization, and performance tuning
Experience with relational databases, SSIS packages, and ETL processes
Familiarity with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and report administration
Ability to support database and reporting infrastructure in a 24/7 environment
Basic Windows Server operating system knowledge
Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical teams
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
Experience using Jira, Confluence, or similar tools

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
Exposure to MongoDB, Power BI, PowerShell, PostgreSQL, Zappysys ETL, or .NET is a plus
