Responsibilities
Advise students and families on financial aid eligibility, application procedures, award packages, and related policies
Assist with student billing inquiries, explain charges, and present payment plans and financial resources
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations in the review and processing of aid applications
Represent the office at campus and community events, including orientations, financial aid nights, and information sessions
Lead or support presentations and workshops focused on financial literacy, FAFSA completion, and billing topics
All Financial Services Counselors will rotate throughout the week to cover phone, email and walk-in traffic
This position serves as the first point of contact for students, families, and campus partners at the front desk
Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in person with accuracy, professionalism, and empathy
Triage questions and direct more complex issues to the appropriate staff when needed
Perform related duties as assigned
Collaborate with other campus departments to promote student access and success
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
At least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired
Ability to advise students and families on financial aid eligibility, application procedures, award packages, and related policies
Ability to assist with student billing inquiries, explain charges, and present payment plans and financial resources
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations in the review and processing of aid applications
Ability to represent the office at campus and community events, including orientations, financial aid nights, and information sessions

Availability to work Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm; includes weekend and evening work- up to 10 weekends and 10 evening hour events a year
