Responsibilities
The Business Development Representative is responsible for the full sales cycle from prospecting to relationship development, to closing new business within assigned territory. The role is focused on new customer acquisition and market expansion
Assigned territory - greater Los Angeles area, but some travel outside of the area and to trade shows as required
Develop and maintain a pipeline of sales prospects utilized tools, leads, and other sales activities to include cold-calls, prospecting, site visits, networking, and trade shows
Partner with internal teams across engineering, procurement, and programs to align technical solutions, requirements, and develop proposals
Engage with inside sales teams for estimates, performance, and metrics
Utilize Salesforce for accurate tracking and reporting; providing regular updates, forecasts, competitor activity, market and pricing trends, and strategy updates to business leadership
Travel and Mileage reimbursement per company policy
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree preferred but will consider experience in lieu of degree
Minimum 5 years of outside sales/ full cycle business development experience
2+ years of industry experience within Machining, Metals, Casting, Aerospace, Automotive, or Industrial Manufacturing
Proven success in building new customer relationships and accounts, revenue streams, and closing sales
Ability to read schematics/blueprints and engage with engineers desirable
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Self-starter with effective time management and territory planning skills
Familiar with Salesforce and Microsoft Office products
