Associate Upstream Product Manager

Solventum is a new healthcare company focused on improving lives through innovative solutions. The Associate Upstream Product Manager will be responsible for executing new product initiatives and developing marketing strategies for the Advanced Wound Care franchise, from concept to commercialization.

Responsibilities

Own marketing strategy and deliverables across multiple high-complexity projects
Lead development of target product profiles (TPPs), value propositions, positioning, and business cases that are financially rigorous and evidence-based
Integrate clinical insights into marketing strategy, ensuring product concepts reflect patient outcomes, medical need, and clinical evidence
Lead market opportunity analyses, including competitive assessment, market potential, and unmet need identification
Prioritize geographic launch markets based on commercial potential, regulatory pathway, and operational readiness
Build out robust business cases, including revenue projections, NPV analyses, cost of goods considerations, and pricing strategies
Partner with Finance to model project scenarios and assess financial impact of strategic choices
Identify risks and opportunities that may impact financial, clinical, or operational outcomes
Serve as the primary marketing liaison on the new product core team
Align marketing inputs with cross-functional plans, timelines, and operational constraints
Collaborate with PMO to ensure stage-gate readiness
Partner with Global Downstream and Regional Marketing to provide launch readiness input, market prioritization guidance, and go-to-market strategy alignment
Work with R&D, regulatory, and Medical Affairs to ensure clinical feasibility, safety, and evidence integration
Coordinate with Supply Chain and R&D to assess cost of goods assumptions, product availability, scale up needs, and global launch readiness

Required

Bachelor's degree or higher
5+ years of experience in upstream or downstream product marketing
Experience with stage-gate processes and tools
Experience in healthcare, medical device or similar regulated industry

Preferred

Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Economics, or related field)
Knowledge of the advanced wound care market, including negative pressure wound therapies
Ability to thrive in an action-oriented and high accountability environment
Track record of collaborating cross-functionally to deliver actionable recommendations
Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Strong financial and business case acumen, including revenue modeling, NPV analyses, and pricing strategies
